Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about TT Salon, for clients and for salon owners.
For clients
Do I need an account to book?
Yes. Without an account you can already scroll the feed, search for salons and open their pages, but to book, message a salon, like a post or save a salon as a favourite you need an account. When you try, the app takes you to sign in and then brings you back to where you were.
You sign up with an email and password (the email is verified) or with your Apple or Google account.
How do I book?
From the salon's page, or from one of its posts in the feed, tap Book. Then:
- Pick the service: you book one at a time.
- Pick the professional among those who offer it, or No preference: you get a professional who is free at the time you choose.
- Pick the day and a free time: full or closed days can't be picked.
- Check the summary and tap Confirm booking.
The booking is confirmed right away, without the salon having to approve it. After that you can add it to your phone's calendar with Add to calendar, open the directions or message the salon.
By booking you become a client of the salon: it sees your name, photo, phone and email. The app reminds you in the summary, before you confirm.
How do I move or cancel an appointment?
Open Bookings, tap the appointment and choose Move or Cancel.
You can do it up to a limit set by the salon: usually two hours before the appointment, but each salon can change it. You will find it written in the summary, before you confirm a booking.
When less time than the limit is left, the app no longer allows it: message the salon to change the appointment. If the salon moves or cancels an appointment, you get a notification right away.
Will I get reminders?
Yes: you get a notification 24 hours before and another 1 hour before the appointment, and the reminders follow the appointment if you move it.
Notifications must be on for the app on your phone. In Profile → Settings → Notifications you can turn off salon promos, messages and reviews, but bookings, reminders and important notices are always sent.
You can also add the appointment to your phone's calendar with Add to calendar.
How do I leave a review?
After the appointment you get the notification How did it go? and you leave the review from there. You can also open the appointment from Bookings, under Past, and tap Leave a review.
Pick 1 to 5 stars and, if you like, tell your experience. You can review only an appointment that is over, within 30 days, with one review per appointment. You can edit or delete it whenever you want.
The salon can reply publicly, but can't delete reviews.
How do I message a salon?
Open the salon's page and tap Message: you can write to any salon, with text and photos, and your conversations stay in Chat. After a booking you also find Message the salon, on the confirmation and on the appointment's page.
A salon can message you first only if you are its client: you booked with it, tapped Join or accepted its invitation. Otherwise it can only reply to your messages. If a conversation isn't for you, you can block or report it.
Can I book from a post in the feed?
Yes. On every post you find Book: the post stays attached to the booking as a reference (for example the haircut or nails you like), so the salon knows what you had in mind. If the salon linked it to a service, the booking starts from that service.
Before you confirm you can take the reference off with Remove the reference. With Send in chat you send the post to the salon instead, with or without a message.
How do I delete my account?
From Profile tap Delete account (it is also in Settings), type DELETE and confirm with Delete permanently. This can't be undone.
Your personal data is erased or anonymised; past bookings remain, anonymised, in the salons' statistics.
If you can't sign in, the account deletion page explains how to ask for it by email.
Where is my data?
Your data is stored with Supabase, on servers in London, with a nightly backup on Cloudflare; notifications go through Expo, and sign-in with Apple or Google through their services.
Only your photo, name and location (if you set one) are public; reviews show your photo, first name and surname initial. Your phone and email are never public: only the salons you're a client of and the app administrators can see them.
We don't sell your data and we don't use it for third-party advertising. All the details, and how to exercise your rights, are in the privacy policy.
For salons
How do I register my salon?
In the app, from Profile → Own a salon? Register it: enter the name, city, address and phone, and pick the categories and who the salon is for.
After you register, the salon stays a draft, hidden from clients, until the TT Salon team activates it: activation happens outside the app, after a contact with you, and the app lets you know when the salon becomes visible. In the meantime you can already prepare your showcase, services, hours and team.
For any question, write to support.
What can I do in the Manage area?
In Manage, which appears in the menu at the bottom when you own a salon, you keep the agenda with appointments, absences and holidays, the team with each professional's shifts, and the services.
You publish photos, videos and posts on your showcase, answer clients in chat and reviews, and follow the salon's numbers.
